Ad Copy Generation

Generate headlines, descriptions, and copy variants for paid ad campaigns.

A real workflow from the Magister template catalog — the same steps a dedicated agent executes for your brand, shown in full before you run anything.

What you provide

The steps, in full

  1. 1

Research successful ad patterns for this platform and category

Search the platform ad library (e.g. Meta Ad Library, Google Ads Transparency Center, LinkedIn Ad Library) for ads run by competitors targeting target audience. Identify the 3 most common hooks, the emotional triggers being used, and any creative formats or structures that appear repeatedly — these are signals of what converts in this market.

  2. 2

    Write 10 headlines

Write 10 distinct ad headlines for product name, each under 30 characters. Cover a range of angles: 2 benefit-led ('Cut research time in half'), 2 curiosity-driven ('Why top marketers use product name'), 2 outcome-focused ('More leads, less effort'), 2 social proof ('Trusted by 500+ teams'), and 2 problem-aware ('Tired of slow content?'). Flag the top 3 recommended for testing first.

  3. 3

    Write 5 descriptions

Write 5 ad descriptions, each under 90 characters. Each description should support a different headline angle, expand on the benefit, and end with an implicit or explicit action. Ensure at least one description mentions target audience directly or references their context to improve relevance scores.

  4. 4

Write 3 long-form ad variants for Meta or LinkedIn

Write 3 full ad copy variants suited for Meta or LinkedIn (100–200 words each). Variant 1: story-led — open with a pain point narrative, pivot to solution. Variant 2: listicle — '3 reasons target audience are switching to product name'. Variant 3: testimonial-style — write in the voice of a satisfied customer. Each variant should end with a clear CTA aligned with the campaign goal.

  5. 5

    Emit finding

Consolidate the completed work into one complete markdown report and record the durable finding with the native magister_submit_workflow_completion tool. The report file must contain the full report content — never a placeholder.

What it won't do without you

Magister workflows draft and prepare autonomously, but anything externally visible — publishing a page, sending an email, changing a campaign — waits for your approval. You can run this template once, or schedule it and review the results as they land.
