Design a structured A/B test with clear variants, hypothesis, and measurement plan.
A real workflow from the Magister template catalog — the same steps a dedicated agent executes for your brand, shown in full before you run anything.
Visit page url and conduct a structured review of the current page. Identify: the main CTA and its placement, any elements that create friction or confusion, the clarity of the value proposition above the fold, and any trust signals missing or poorly placed. Document 3–5 specific friction points that could explain why primary metric is underperforming.
Define precisely what will change between the control (current page) and the variant. Based on hypothesis, specify: which element(s) will be changed (headline, CTA button, hero image, form length, etc.), the exact change to be made in the variant, and why this change should improve primary metric. Keep the variant focused — test one clear change, not multiple simultaneous edits.
Write all new copy for the variant version. This includes: the new headline and subheadline (if testing hero copy), new CTA button label (if testing CTA), new body copy sections (if testing content), and any new trust signals or social proof elements. Also write design change specifications (e.g. 'Move CTA above the fold', 'Change button colour to primary brand colour') that a developer or designer can implement directly.
Write a measurement plan: (1) Primary metric: primary metric — define exactly how it is measured (e.g. click-through rate on the CTA button tracked as a conversion event). (2) Secondary metrics to monitor for negative side effects (e.g. scroll depth, bounce rate). (3) Minimum detectable effect: what % improvement justifies the change? (4) Required sample size calculation based on current traffic to page url and desired statistical significance (95%). (5) Estimated test duration in days. (6) Decision criteria: when to call the test and how to interpret inconclusive results.
Consolidate the completed work into one complete markdown report and record the durable finding with the native magister_submit_workflow_completion tool. The report file must contain the full report content — never a placeholder.
Magister workflows draft and prepare autonomously, but anything externally visible — publishing a page, sending an email, changing a campaign — waits for your approval. You can run this template once, or schedule it and review the results as they land.
